Plastiform M60/M70

M60 is a product designed for external impressions that requires both the usage of the double blade cutter and manual application. 

It is a soften than the M70, and can support some stress during the extraction.

Hand application makes it easy to use on vertical or overhanging surfaces. This makes this product user-friendly, even for those tricky spots.

Once set, M60 forms a Semi-flexible impression with a hardness of 60 Shore A withs some deformation capacity. It can handle a maximum Extraction Constraint of 5%, making it a good alternative to the M70 when you need to demold semi-complex impressions.

M60 is ideal for creating simple external shape impressions, such as threads, grooves, and ridges. Its suitability extends to medium and large parts, offering great flexibility in various applications.

This product is especially handy for inspecting large assemblies without the hassle of disassembly, saving time and unnecessary efforts.

The M60 is suitable for the following applications:

• Dimensional control of simple external shapes: when you need to use both manual application and the double blade cutter.
• Creation of tailor-made protection: when you need to protect hard to access areas of a part or simply want to apply your custom protection by hand.

To apply this product, mix the two components in equal quantities by hand. Mix actively until you achieve a homogeneous color, which takes about 20 seconds.

Once mixed, apply the plastiform quickly before it cures. Be careful, once the working time is reached, you cannot apply the product anymore.

Before using any product from the Plastiform products, make sure to clean your parts using the DN1 degreaser.

As the M60 impression is semi-flexible, it can be evaluated without contact using visual measuring devices such as profile projectors or optical systems.

It can also be inspected with contact measuring instruments suitable for soft materials like calipers or 3D measuring machines, though we always advise using a visual inspection system.

The Double Blade Cutter is compatible and recommended for this product, making it easy to manage the profile of the shape.
